PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS WEEK 10 LATEST BETTING TIPS
Only five games remain in the league stage of this year’s Premier League of Darts and it looks as though the semi-final stages will be without 2007 finalist Terry Jenkins and five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld.
Jenkins is marooned at the bottom of the table with just four points to his name, all of which came in the first three weeks of the tournament meaning The Bull has now lost six on the bounce. In reality he isn’t that bad of a player, but he is playing bad enough darts to justify those results. There is no room for playing at anything other than your best in this league and Jenkins has been duly punished. Adrian Lewis can continue his impressive form with victory tonight and he should be able to do it with a bit in hand, back Lewis -3.5 legs at 11/10 with Betfred.
The winner of the night’s second match will claim second place outright in the league. Both Ronnie Baxter and Mervyn King are tied on four wins, two draws and ten points apiece. Baxter edged the first meeting between these two by 8-6 with three 3-figure finishes including a 164 checkout to seal the victory. King wasn’t on top of his game last week but did manage a 161 checkout of his own, so expect some fireworks in this match. Back the highest checkout of the match to be over 120.5 at odds of 4/5 with Paddy Power.
Phil Taylor cemented his place at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Baxter last week, despite starting off with some of the worst darts we have ever seen from him in his career. He began the match with an unprecedented average at around the 80.0 mark and reaffirmed a point we have picked up on in the past – Taylor is vulnerable in the opening exchanges. For some reason the bookmakers still don’t seem to be wise to this trait and we can still get 13/10 on James Wade in the race to 3 legs with Bwin. Take advantage of this as your value bet of the night!
