Premier League Early Prices for Saturday's Big Fixtures
- By Allan Pederson on November 30, 2010 23:08 GMTWe’ve got another slate of Premier League action ahead of us this weekend and we’ll be taking a look at some of the higher-profile fixtures. Expect more in-depth coverage as we get closer to the kick-offs but we’ll be using this article as an early preview. Six fixtures all kick off at 15:00 on Saturday with Blackpool vs Manchester United being the late feature at 17:30.
Arsenal vs Fulham
The Gunners look to have gotten things back on track after two victories on the bounce after a bit of a wobble in the past month. The bookmakers have them listed as prominent favourites here with a 2/7 price tag against the Cottagers 10/1 listing. Arsenal look a solid bet for the win here and they’ll likely be a popular addition to accumulator bets.
Birmingham vs Tottenham
Spurs look to be proving the doubters wrong and keeping up with the leading pack. Harry Redknapp’s side are considered to be solid favourites for this one with an 11/10 price tag placing them ahead of Alex McLeish’s men who are priced at 5/2. Van der Vaart looks to be injured for this one but Jermaine Defoe is coming back into form and should produce the result here.
Chelsea vs Everton
This is more or less a must-win for Chelsea and Everton will be attracting some serious attention at a 13/2 price. Something seems to be wrong at Stamford Bridge and you reckon it’s not Ancelotti who’s lost the dressing room. It all started to go wrong when Ray Wilkins was sacked. Regardless, the Blues are heavy favourites for the win at 4/11 while the Toffees are priced at an enticing 13/2.
Manchester City vs Bolton
A few years back you would have been hard-pressed to find a more drab fixture but now this one looks to be a slugfest between two Champions League aspirants. Bolton have proved they can match wits with nearly anybody and they’re a hefty 5/1 to get one over City here. The big-spending Citizens will be expecting a victory and they’re odds-on at 8/15 to get the job done.
Blackpool vs Manchester United
Blackpool have been a real story this season and they are sitting comfortably in mid-table with a decent accumulation of points. It’s sides like this that add just a little extra spice to the Premier League and, after United’s drubbing at the hands of West Ham, you have to wonder whether Blackpool really fancy their chances here. United are the 4/11 favourites while Blackpool are available at 13/2.
