Premier League Sack Race Betting Part 1

It’s not often that the brand-new managers from the top two clubs in the UK aren’t going to be facing pressure but they certainly won’t be the first ones out the door this season.

It’s going to be an interesting few weeks early on and, at this point in time, there is no manager odds-on to be removed from his position before anybody else.
As it currently stands, the betting favourite for the first sack of the year is Newcastle manager Alan Pardew and he’s trading at 7/5 to be the first one out the door. Keep in mind that this would also include a manager voluntarily leaving as opposed to be outright sacked as well.
Newcastle have had some real issues over the past while trying to get themselves established and it seems as though whenever they really start pulling themselves together and grinding out proper results, they wind up selling a key player and then the side loses all resolve and they wind up getting disorganized and ineffectual again.
You get the feeling that this will be a make-or-break year for Mike Ashley’s team and a season full of managerial drama will certainly make them a hot tip for relegation come mid-season.
The second choice is Michael Laudrup, whose last season in charge of Swansea was easily a dream season. They won the League Cup and ensured Premier League survival for a second year in a row. Now, they get to play against Welsh rivals Cardiff City throughout this season and that’s sure to add some new spice to the Premier League as it adjusts to a Derby it has never seen before.
