PREMIER LEAGUE SACK RACE LATEST BETTING ODDS FAVOUR AVRAM GRANT

With results from this weekend certainly complicating affairs for a number of sides, popular Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has listed Avram Grant as the firm favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose their job. He’s currently trading at a 9/4 and that could drop even lower as they appear to be facing a tough fixture in the Carling Cup.
Roberto Martinez is the second favourite and you can back him at a 10/3 price with Paddy Power. Manchester City have had a rather underwhelming season considering the financial outlay from their ownership and it probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise that Roberto Mancini is competitively priced at a 7/1 listing.
Newcastle’s Chris Hughton is trading at 8/1 while Alex McLeish at 10/1 may concern some Birmingham fans. It’s probably important to note that this bet includes a manager leaving by his own accord or being sacked.
Gerard Houllier has just debuted at Aston Villa and he’s already 18/1 to be the next Premier League manager sacked. Roberto Di Matteo is priced at 20/1 alongside Steve Bruce and David Moyes.
You reckon David Moyes has built up a real reputation at Everton and even though the current situation isn’t a good one, you can’t see David Moyes getting the boot anytime soon.
Roy Hodgson is the most interesting option here with rumours circulating that Martin O’Neill is being lined up to take over at Anfield as Hodgson’s inauspicious start got even worse as they lost 3-2 to Manchester United on Sunday. It has been made apparent that the two consortiums in the running to buy Liverpool are both favouring O’Neill as the manager to take the club forward.
Roy Hodgson’s odds to be the next Premier League manager sacked are trading at 22/1.
If Hodgson were to leave then he likely would go around Christmas time, should results not improve. It’s clear that he hasn’t inherited the best of scenarios at Liverpool, but that’s a club that demands results on the pitch- simple and plain.
