Premier League Sunday Betting Preview PT 1

The Saturday line-up of English Premier League football action is tantalizing but the Sunday/Monday (and this week we have a Tuesday) fixtures all look pretty solid and there are some good wagering opportunities here. There are some crunch clashes for lower table clubs while Burnley have an opportunity to pick up some points against Spurs.

One of the most fascinating things about the matches beyond Saturday is the fact that we will have the 19, 18, 17 and 16th place teams all in action so things could look very different at the bottom of the table. 

The action starts on April 5th with Burnley playing host to Spurs and they will be looking to take something from this in an effort to pull themselves out of the relegation mire they are stuck in at the moment. You’ll find Burnley priced at a 13/5 margin while Tottenham Hotspur can be backed at a 21/20 price and it’s quite likely that the listing will fluctuate during the build-up - particularly as punters chase losses from the previous days’ football action. 

The draw here can be backed at a 5/2 margin while the bookmakers seem to favour both teams to score as the “yes” option trades at 8/11 against the “no” option which can be backed at 21/20. 

With the likelihood of both teams scoring seeming fairly high you reckon this could tempt a few punters into jumping in on the underdog side. The Harry Kane factor is, of course, hard to dispel and you’ll find the English wonderkind trading at a 21/20 margin to grab any time goal while he is 3/1 to open or close the scoring. 

Burnley will be looking to the likes of Danny Ings to put the ball in the net and you’ll find the up-and-coming player (who is being linked to a lot of top-tier clubs now) priced at 19/10 to score any time and 6/1 for the first or last strike of the match.
