Premiership Preview this weekend
Tottenham Hotspur are worth chancing at 6/1 on Saturday afternoon to inflict a second successive home league defeat on Manchester United. It was of course at Old Trafford last term that Spurs were cruelly robbed of all three points when scoring a perfectly legitimate goal seen by everyone watching at the stadium, except for the referee. The Red Devils are not playing well at present, unexpectedly losing to Blackburn in their previous home league game, and then failing to beat an average Lille side in midweek. Spurs are a far better outfit and won't be so unforgiving. Spurs' only defeat in the top flight this season was home to Chelsea, and victory against United would put them possibly four points clear of the third placed team, depending on how other results go. Elsewhere on Saturday, Thierry Henry should be backed at 4/5 with Paddy Power to find the back of the net against Manchester City. The Frenchman came off the bench in midweek to help Arsenal to a crucial Champions League victory. His double strike of course meant he overtook Ian Wright's goalscoring record. Despite uncertainty over his future at the club, Henry should receive a fantastic reception at Highbury for his accomplishment. The French International remarked after breaking the record that it would have been better to have scored the record breaking goal at Highbury. Expect Henry to go all out to celebrate his achievement with the fans that adore him so much.
