Premiership Spread Betting Match Preview 18/19 November

Three teams with desperate away records look to change their luck this weekend. Fulham can boast of one victory all season, whereas Liverpool and Spurs are yet to win on their travels. We look at the Spreadbetting markets this weekend.Man City v Fulham (Saturday: 12.45 PremPlus)Fulham will attempt to do what no team has managed all season in the Premiership - score a goal at the City of Manchester Stadium. The omens look good though as they've scored in five of their six away games this season. They may be appalling away from Eastlands, but 12 of Man City's 13 points this season have been at home where they remain unbeaten. Micah Richards shone against Holland and defensive heavyweights Dunne and Distin could thwart a misfiring Fulham attack. They've only scored three goals in four games and their recent trump cards won't be on show. Collins John who's netted on his last two trips to City is out-of-favour, and Malbranque who scored three times against City last season has since left. Stuart Pearce's strugglers fare much worse with one goal scored in five. The punters will be surprised to learn that Sporting Index reckon they'll run out winners by 0.3 to 0.5 goals, despite only winning once in six games. Boro v Liverpool (Saturday: 17.15 PremPlus)Having secured a narrow victory over West Ham, Gareth Southgate will be looking for a fourth consecutive Premiership home win when Liverpool visit. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic as they entertain the team with the worst away record in the Premiership. The Reds haven't scored in their last five away games and were bitterly frustrating at the Emirates, lacking passion, invention and certainly missing the injured Sissoko. His replacement and old Riverside favourite Zenden lacks the holding or tackling abilities that the Mali international offers. Boro may have trouble scoring with two goals in four games, but Rafa's men aren't exactly water tight in defence at the moment - they've only the one clean sheet in six. Despite this, Sporting Index reckon that the Merseysiders are due a change in fortune and will triumph by 0.5 to 0.7 goals - even though they've only won once in their last seven visits to the Riverside. With Southgate's long-term future in the balance and Liverpool needing that elusive away victory, there could be some desperate challenges on show. Last season saw five yellows and a red card for Ehiogu, but Sporting are predicting four bookings this time around. Blackburn v Spurs (Sunday: 16.00 Sky Sports 1)Tottenham head to Ewood Park on the back of a disappointing defeat at Reading, whilst Rovers will be hoping to stop a run of four straight defeats in the Premiership. Both sides are in the wrong half of the table and the primary reason is their struggles in front of goal. Despite Benni McCarthy's best efforts, Blackburn have only scored once in their last four games, whilst Spurs have yet to score from open play away from home this season. With that in mind, Sporting is predicting there'll only be two total goals. Spurs have the upper hand in that they're unbeaten in five against their opponents. However with such patchy form from both teams this season, Sporting Index predict this contest will end up all level. Last years fixture produced a feisty 0-0 draw, including a red card for Lucas Neil and an unpunished Andy Todd head butt caught by the cameras. The reverse fixture also saw five bookings, proving this to be a hot-headed affair. However tough-tackling duo Savage and Lucas Neil are injured for this encounter. This doesn't change Sporting Index's view that this will be a mild affair, and they reckon Phil Dowd will caution five players.
