Price is right for Premier League fourfold
Bolton fans look away now. After a miserable week for both club and country, the grim prospect of a long round trip to Arsenal beckons, as the Trotters scuttle into the abattoir that is the Emirates Stadium, where the Gunners are sharpening their Premier League knives for victim no 9. Arsenal have a 100 per cent record in all competitions at home and there is nothing to suggest that rudderless Bolton can slow their spectacular descent to the foot of the Premier League table at the expense of Arsene Wenger's men. After falling out with senior players Kevin Nolan and Gary Speed it was inevitable that coach Sammy Lee would be the one to pay for the miserable start to the Premier League season and not even Bolton will be expecting to add to the five points they have so far mustered from nine matches. Blackburn can also be trusted to continue their fine run of Premier league form at home to out-of-sorts Reading. Rovers have managed six home wins this term and may well find that their Uefa Cup exit proves to be a blessing in disguise. Reading, meanwhile, have lost three matches since drawing at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season and a 1-0 win against Derby two weeks ago is hardly a convincing argument to back them. Birmingham have a similarly dreadful away record, having only mastered Derby on their Premier League travels. Hence a trip to in-form Manchester City represents a no-brainer as Sven-Goran Eriksson's men also have a perfect home record. Add table-topping Watford to pile more misery on struggling Hull at Vicarage Road and the fourfold is complete with SportingBet paying 3.8/1. On the football continent Champions League football hopefuls Inter Milan, Roma and AC Milan can all be expected to overcome Reggina, Napoli and Empoli respectively in Serie A. Inter are unbeaten this season and should make short shrift of their second-from-bottom Serie A opponents. The Giallorossi are just three points behind Inter in Serie A and strong at home, while Milan will be buoyed by their recent 5-1 Serie A thrashing of Lazio against a struggling Empoli side who have yet to win away from home. Karlsruhe are on the lips of German football fans just now, sitting pretty in second place after a storming start to the season. Arminia Bielefeld, who were humbled 8-1 by Werder Bremen recently have lost their last four Bundelsiga matches and that figure is likely to reach five on Sunday. Third-placed Bremen, meanwhile, have got their Bundesliga campaign back on track and should have too much for Hertha Berlin, who have slipped to ninth, after managing just a point from their last three Bundesliga games. Verdict: 2pts fourfold on Arsenal, Blackburn, Man City and Watford @ 3.8/1 (SportingBet); 2pts fivefold on Inter, Roma, AC Milan, Karlsuhe and Bremen @ 5.2/1 (SportingBet). (Editor's Note: Richard Aikman was spot on with his fourfold last week so back the Premier League fourfold and foreign football fivefold on SportingBet)
