REAL MADRID vs. AJAX- PREVIEW AND RESULTS PREDICTIONS

Real Madrid take on Ajax tonight in the Group G opener between these two European powerhouses
Dutch stalwart Ajax are back in the Champions League for the first time in five years, and undoubtedly looking to prove that their presence is by no means a mistake
For the past six years Real Madrid have started their Champions League campaign with high hopes , however have consistently failed to advance past the  Round of 16 stage of a competition that they have won nine times.
However, there is a major difference when looking at this year’s squad, and not so much with regards to strikers, defence or midfield.
With current champion manager Jose Mourinho in charge, things this year could be very different...with many of the Madrid faithful harbouring extremely high expectations.
Mourinho, who won the Champions League with Inter last season- along the way masterminding the defeats of Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich-believes that this year's competition will be wide open, with six or seven clubs realistically vying for the title.
With Real Madrid dead on favourites to win this clash, most of the money tonight will be made on the accurate score prediction front.
Ladbrokes feel that this game will very much fall in favour of Madrid with a 1-0 win in their favour at 7.0, while a 2-0 win is at 6.0.
Interestingly a 0-0 draw is at 8.0, with a 1-1 draw set at the same. This clearly shows an uneasy betting community that feel that Ajax does indeed have the firepower, and structured defence to hold the Spanish giants to a draw.
Those witnessing the Dutch side's advancement to the tournament would have been impressed, and as such would be able to tap into some rather lucrative odds in favour of Ajax. A 1-0 win in favour of the Dutch will find odds of 13; while the real wild-card 2-0 win is at 41!
Just remember when placing your result predictions that Ajax skipped past the challenge of Dynamo Kyiv in the play-off round, and  lay claim to a world class quad including a handful of players whom featured in the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa for the Netherlands.
This is shaping up to be the match of the night...and not just because we get to watch the unpredictable Mourinho on the sidelines
