For the three new sides coming up to the top level of English football, you can expect a really fascinating relegation race coming.

There appears to be about five sides competing for the three positions in the trap door down to the Championship and, interestingly enough, there appears to be no real stand out favourite to go down, as virtually all teams are trading at even money or above for relegation next year.

You can bank on the newly promoted sides to always be amongst the main fancies to be considered a one-and-done in the English Premier League. This time around, we have some genuinely talented sides coming up with Leeds United not backed for relegation at all - paying a full 4/1 should they drop back down.

West Bromwich Albion remain the betting favourites for the Championship following this season and the bookmakers have them backed around an even money price with a few books going as high as an 11/10 margin for relegation next season. There probably won’t be a huge amount of price fluctuation between the sides now and at the beginning of the league kick-off so that may make sense to hold off on right for the time being.

West Brom were able to battle their way back to the Premier League, where they had been hanging around for a numbers of years. They played some good football at times and manufactured a few great escapes to remain in England’s top flight but eventually it caught up with them but they were still able to muster up enough good performances to earn their way back.
