Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao Betting Tips

It has certainly been a tumultuous few weeks between the two camps, but it looks as though the final i's have been dotted and the t's crossed with the announcement that Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton is set to battle Manny Pacquiao in a June 1st superfight in Las Vegas. The news will certainly come at a welcome time for most Hatton fans as the Manchester-based pugilist is seeking to build up even more momentum going into a rumoured rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr sometime in December. Pacquiao's camp had been holding out for a 60/40 split, but it appears as though an even 50/50 has been the outcome with Hatton promised a massive payday for this one. At the outset, the bookmakers are all favouring Pacquiao, hardly a surprise considering his utter demolition of the quite-past-it Oscar De La Hoya. Manny Pacquiao is favoured at 2/5 for the outright win at most major sportsbooks including 888sport. I find it interesting that bookmakers are offering such generous odds on Hatton who is listed primarily as the 7/4 underdog with a draw paying in the region of 20 to 25/1 depending on where you're wagering. In my opinion, I find Pacquiao dramatically underpriced at 2/5, if he would have defeated somebody challenging in his last fight like Floyd Mayweather I would have no objections to listing him as such a heavy favourite. His fight over De La Hoya was a relatively straightforward victory despite De La Hoya being listed as the inexplicable favourite. I think Hatton would have downed Oscar earlier than Pacquiao secured the victory and I find that 7/4 on Hatton is really good value especially at this point. The round-by-round numbers haven't been listed yet, but when they do you know this is the place to come to find out the inside scoop.
