RICKY HATTON VS MANNY PACQUIAO BETTING TIPS
Seeing as though we're now less than three months away from the Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao fight, it's time to take another look at the betting markets. Manny Pacquiao remains at 2/5, a distinct favourite contrasted with Hatton's 7/4. I still feel as though Pacquiao's odds are too short and I think the fight is going to be much closer than bookmakers and Manny Pacquiao's camp seem to think it will be. Interestingly enough, the odds have shifted around a little bit in terms of the Round Betting, which is where you make your money on boxing betting. Hatton is now 33/1 to win in virtually every single round of the match with the only exception being the first round where he pays an incredible 40/1. Manny Pacquiao's odds are significantly slimmer travelling from 40/1 all the way down to a microscopic 16/1 in rounds 8 and 9. A Pacquiao points victory pays 15/8 and Hatton on points pays out at an enticing 3/1. Hatton is considered slightly more likely to win the match on points with 3/1 on points compared to 7/2 via TKO, KO or DQ. Personally, I think that Pacquiao made himself look a little too good when he took on a tired and very-much-out-of-it Oscar De La Hoya. De La Hoya didn't win a single round in my book and Hatton would have destroyed him in fewer rounds than it took Pacquiao to get the business done. I think Pacquiao is dramatically underpriced and that this one will be just that much closer than people think so.
