Robinho For Chelsea And Drogba For Manchester City - Will This Happen ?
If rumours and latest buzz in the newspapers is to be believed then we can see two soccer superstars, Didier Drogba and Robinho switching teams very soon. Both the stars have had their share of controversies with their current teams and it can be a deal which might leave all parties involved in it smiling. It has been said that Manchester City is very eager to sign up Ivory Coast Striker Didier Drogba and has asked Chelsea for a price on him. Drogba is also reported to be eager to move as his future remains uncertain in the main team. Robinho also walked out of the training camp at Manchester City to fly back home to Brazil which has led to question marks on his future with the Eastlands outfit. The question mark remains about the final specifications of this swap deal if it goes through as rumoured, with Robinho having costed Manchester City £32 million in the summer and Drogba valued at £15 million by Chelsea. This has led to UK bookmaker Betfred offering odds of 14/1 for the two players to exchange clubs during the current transfer window.Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde said: "The swap would make sense as Robinho was strongly linked with Chelsea before he joined City, while Mark Hughes is clearly keen to land a striker with physical presence as his pursuit of Roque Santa Cruz shows. "This deal would suit both parties and while Drogba's views on a move to City could prove to be the stumbling block, there is enough time to convince him before the transfer window closes." Meanwhile, Skybet is offering 2/5 that Robinho will not see out his contract with Manchester City while it is 7/4 that he does. Punters think different about Didier Drogba and he is 3/13 at Betfair to remain with Chelsea while it is 8/5 that he is not.
