ROGER FEDERER VS ANDY RODDICK WIMBLEDON FINAL BETTING TIPS
We're just a few hours away from the widely-anticipated 2009 Wimbledon Men's Final between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick. Federer goes into this one as a very big favourite and carries a 1/8 outright price against Roddick's odds of 5/1. Federer to win in straight sets is paying out at 8/11 and thats probably your best bet if you think Federer is going to take this one. He has a quality record in this type of final and he's looking for his 17th major victory- I think it's definitely his match to lose. Federer to win 3-1 pays 5/2 and Federer to win 3-2 pays a massive 8/1. If you think this one is going to be a barn-burner I'd back that- I can see Roddick performing here. Andy Roddick in straight sets is a colossal 20/1 with Roddick 3-1 at 12/1. A victory by a 3-2 margin is the lowest-odds selection at 10/1. There is a -5.5 handicap set up on this and Federer to win -5.5 games is 10/11. You can also back Roddick to win a single set at evens. Roger Federer is 1/5 to win individual sets with Roddick listed at 11/4. There is literally dozens of different betting markets for this match at William Hill and you can also take advantage of the live betting if you start to notice your bets need hedging or you feel like doubling-down on a given selection. Personally, I think this is a winnable game for Andy Roddick, but Federer is in some quality form. I don't see much value in a straight Federer victory so I'm backing him to win by 3-2 and I'm backing Roddick outright. You can make more money on Federer during the in-play betting- he's a favourite by just that heavy of a margin.
