Romero drives us to 28/1 winner

Bettingchoice once again proves it is the only place to go for free and spot-on betting advice as we brought you a 56-point gain when backing Andres Romero to win the Players Championship of Europe in Gut Kaden last week. Here's what we said in our event preview last week: "Andres Romero can maintain his sensational form at Gut Kaden at 28/1. The little-known Argentinian almost made a name for himself at The Open at the weekend and was leading with two holes to go before blowing up on the 17th after a round including an incredible ten birdies. "It is tempting to think that the mental strain of coming so close will have taken its toll on the 26-year-old but evidence would suggest he is an adaptable player in a rich vein of form. Romero came second in the 2006 Scottish Open before finishing eighth at Hoylake and then fourth at the Players Championship of Europe and the signs are that he likes this time of year. Twelve months on he has finished third in The Open and can be expected to carry his form to Germany." The Argentinian carded a closing 70 for a 19 under par total of 269 and three-shot victory over England's Oliver Wilson and Denmark's Soren Hansen. The first prize of £403,510 took Romero's earnings for the fortnight to more than £690,000 and booked his place in next week's WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Akron as well as securing a five-year European Tour exemption. "I feel great, I didn't expect my first win to come this quick but I played great in the Open last week and coming here I was thinking maybe it could be my time," Romero said through an interpreter. "I won a lot of tournaments in Argentina and one two years ago in Manchester on the Challenge Tour but this is a big tournament with great players. Be sure to follow our advice when for this week's big event - the Bridgestone Invitational.
