RYDER CUP DAY TWO LIVE BETTING ODDS AND PREDICTIONS

The USA surged back into contention after the rain delay on Day one of the 2010 Ryder Cup. As it currently stands, it looks like the United States could very well wind up conquering the opening session fourball contests.
Stewart Cink has been the key man in shifting momentum back to the Americans, who have been the distinct underdogs for quite some time.
The Watson/Overton partnership was the biggest surprise of the day, odds-wise, as they were considered to be the longest shots before the actual tournament kicked off.
The Europeans do have the advantage in the Westwood/Kaymer vs Mickelson/Johnson fourballs match and you can back the Euros at 1.44 while the Americans are 5.5 to pull off the reverse. Should the match end all-square you're looking at 4.5.
Cink/Kuchar vs McIlroy/McDowell is looking extremely lopsided and you can back Cink/Kuchar to hold on at a 1.36 price while McIlroy and McDowell are a lengthy 7.0.
The Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods pairing is getting a slim edge against Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher. You can back Stricker and Woods at 2.1 while the European partners are at 2.75. The draw trades at 4.0.
The odds on Watson and Overton to hold on are trading at 1.61 while a surge from Donald and Harrington would pay out at 3.5 if they were to take the victory.
Overall, the USA is 1.8 to win the days fourballs.
Thanks to their much better than expected performance, the United States have seen their odds clipped nearly in half. Europe are still the odds-on favourites to win the 2010 Ryder Cup- with Ladbrokes pricing them at 1.72, but the USA are now trading at even money. It looks like it's well and truly game-on at the Ryder Cup.
The USA should be able to hold on in the fourball challenge and they are showing plenty of confidence in tough conditions and they look good value for the win.
