Saints Can March Back to Premiership
Southampton look a great shout at 11/4 (Stan James) to return to the Premiership after being relegated in 2005 under Harry Redknapp. The Saints have scrambled into the play-offs after a topsy-turvy season but look the value bet out of the four teams gunning for a top-flight place.Their semi-final opponents are Derby County (13/5 bet365), who won't be too confident of promotion after missing out on an automatic place in the final few weeks of the season. Despite a last-day 2-0 win over Leeds, the Rams' form isn't good and they can be opposed. The other play-off semi final throws up a derby clash between Wolves and West Brom, which looks a hard one to call. The Baggies are favourites with most firms to secure promotion (5/2 Ladbrokes) but this looks more to do with their 7-0 drubbing of lowly Barnsley than any other credentials. Wolves, on the other hand, are quite tasty at 100/30 (Sporting Odds) in a four-horse race and managed the same number of points as their Black Country rivals.
