Shall I stay or shall I go now?
Will he stay or will he go? Has David Dein's departure also sealed his exit? Does he have the va-va-voom to still play at the very highest level and if so were Arsenal right not to sell him off and perhaps save him for a big transfer this summer? Welcome to the wonderful world of Arsenal striker Thierry Henry. It seems not a summer goes by without strong claims linking Henry with a move away from the Emirates Stadium. The Arsenal captain has long been admired by Europe's biggest clubs but at 30 is he still a real force in the game? Statistically he is half the player he once was. In 2005 he had a completion rate in front of goal of 26%, last year it was down to 13%. There are also doubts over his fitness - he missed a large chunk of last season - but still the rumours persist.Earlier this week Coral had Henry at 13/8 to start the next Premiership campaign with league rivals and newly rich Liverpool. Their boss Rafa Benitez is a long time fan of the Frenchman's but it remains doubtful that Henry would want to stay in England and a trip abroad to Spain sees him at just 9/4 to join Barcelona with the same firm. Since the Liverpool link, another story has emerged that hints that Henry will remain at Arsenal as the north London club have been strongly linked with Juventus striker David Trezeguet, who as well as being a compatriot, is also a friend of Henry's. After this development Coral cut their odds on Henry starting next season with Arsenal from 7-4 to 11-8 after strong support for the player to remain at Arsenal. Coral spokesman David Stevens said: "There are reports that Arsene Wenger wants to bring Trezeguet to north London, and punters clearly believe this would keep Henry at Arsenal, rather than act as a replacement for him." If Henry does stay put, both Liverpool and Barca may turn their attentions to Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres, who has stated that he wants to leave the la Liga side. Both Liverpool and the Catalans club are priced up by Coral at respective odds of 9-2 and 5-1 to land the player. However, they could also face strong competition from another big spender as Manchester United are 10-3 favourites to win the race for Torres's signature. Henry's club on first day of next Premiership season: 11-8 Arsenal, 2 Liverpool, 9-4 Barcelona, 7 Milan, 20 Real Madrid, 25 Juventus, 33 Inter, 50 Chelsea, Manchester United (all Coral) Torres's club on first day of next Premiership season: 10-3 Manchester United, 9-2 Liverpool, 5 Arsenal, Barcelona, 6 Chelsea, 8 Atletico Madrid, 9 Milan, 10 Inter, 16 Real Madrid, 20 Tottenham, 33 Newcastle, 40 West Ham (all Coral)
