Should I stay or should I go?

It was an eventful weekend in the Big Brother House this weekend as five new arrivals were introduced to the show and Chanelle walked out - or did she? Despite Charley's eviction on Friday night it was a far from tranquil weekend as the arrival of five half-way housemates sparked a frenzy of excitement among contestants and Chanelle walked out after splitting up from Ziggy yet again. Ziggy had been doing so well to cope with Chanelle's tantrums and their inevitable consequences on the other housemates but this weekend it all became too much for him. Funny that this epiphany materialised after one of the five half-way housemates hoping to be voted in by the current incumbents, revealed herself to be a glamour model. Before leaving we were hearing the: "It's not you, it's me speech" which had the Posh lookalike reeling in horror. Apparently more shocked at being dumped on national television (again) than actually breaking up with her beau Chanelle reportedly walked out- or so the official website claimed on Sunday. As it happens she has been persuaded by the show's producers to first talk to a psychologist today before making her final decision. Needless to say, those punters who lumped on the odds on a walkout this week (one punter matched £36,000 at 1.01 on Betfair) or laid off Chanelle on the outright market, were choking on their cornflakes on Monday morning to learn that the 19-year-old was still prevaricating. Others, basing their decision on Chanelle's previous empty threats decided to take the opposite view and took the sizeable 230/1 on offer about the Yorkshire lass winning the show and the 200/1 to be top female. By Monday morning those odds had been shorn to 9/2 and 25/1 respectively. Ziggy will not have covered himself in glory in the eyes of the predominantly teenage female telephone voters and is out from 50/1 to 66/1 on the outright market and down to just 5.2 to be the next out on Betfair. Meanwhile, the housemates must choose which two new arrivals to accord permanent housemate status. None have so far starred and the outright price reflects as much with kilt-wearing Visual Manager (what?) David and the even more irksome Jonty shortest at 47 and 64 respectively with Betfair.
