SIMON WHITLOCK VS ADRIEN LEWIS PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS BETTING TIPS
Two points off the coveted top four places and just three games to go including a final week match-up against Phil Taylor; this is very much a must win fixture for Adrian Lewis. Unfortunately for him he faces an in-form Simon Whitlock who is also in need of maximum points to bolster his own semi-final aspirations.
Whitlock pushed Taylor all the way last week but eventually succumbed to The Power and lost 8-5. In what was one of the highest quality matches of the tournament, both players posted an average in excess of 102 and hit some mesmerising finishes including a brilliant 94 checkout from The Aussie. Yet in the previous match Lewis had been brushed aside by Mervyn King losing 8-3 and posting a paltry average of 89.
All the stats and form suggest a straight-up back of The Wizard, but at odds of 1.9 (10/11) I am reluctant to suggest going full steam ahead. Lewis has shown flashes of brilliance throughout this campaign, and although they have been sporadic I would rather stay clear of the match odds betting for that reason.
Taylor called Whitlock “one of the best finishers I have ever seen” after last week’s game and it is difficult to argue with the 15-time World Champion. Odds of 5/6 with totesport on the Aussie taking out the biggest finish of this particular match look to be worth a reasonable interest.
He also hit five maximums against Taylor to take his tally for the past three weeks to 13. And whilst Lewis’s form has been patchy in that same period he always manages to pull out a few 180’s; he has a commendable 11 to his name over the last three weeks. The total 180’s count should pass the 7.5 mark if both these players can maintain that level of form so odds of 9/10 with Betfred look to be another value bet.
Recommended Bets;
Back Whitlock to hit biggest checkout @ 5/6
Back more than 7.5 180’s @ 9/10
