SLOVENIA VS ENGLAND PREDICTIONS AND LATEST WORLD CUP BETTING PREVIEW

England go into their match against Slovenia on the edge of a full-blown crisis as the players appear to be turning on Fabio Capello and his methods and tactics. Seemingly the players aren't blaming themselves for their poor performances lately and you know that John Terry is at the heart of all the controversy- as usual.

Regardless, I think a little bit of extra fire could be exactly what this side need. They are a side firmly with their back to the wall.
England are, more or less, in a must-win situation against the Slovenians here. However, despite some underwhelming performances lately, the English are considered the heavy 4/9 favourites to beat Slovenia and progress to the next stage of the competition as Group winners.
Everybody knows that Wayne Rooney is going to be an integral part of this team and he's priced at 10/11 to score a goal at any time- he knows that there is more pressure on him than ever and I get the feeling that the recent call from Sir Alex Ferguson could be just the thing to steady Rooney's nerves and possibly get him focused again.
Wayne Rooney is priced at 10/1 to score in both halves of the match (that's a distinct possibility if he plays well) and he's a slim 20/1 to score a hat-trick.
Frank Lampard is priced at 2/1 to grab a goal at any time while Peter Crouch is trading at a 13/8 price. Steven Gerrard is also listed at 13/8 and you can back Aaron Lennon for an anytime goal at 9/2.
I think a 25/1 bet on Aaron Lennon to win a penalty in this match is very well-priced. I can definitely see that happening. No disrespect to Slovenia, but their only victory came from a cock-up of Robert Green proportions. I think they are more beatable than many others might assume.
It's going to be a wild and wooley match, and if England can keep disciplined this time, then I think there's no reason why they can't get the result.
