SLOVENIA VS ENGLAND PREDICTIONS AND WORLD CUP BETTING TIPS

The big kick-off is nearly upon us and the matches just don't get much bigger than they do today. England's underperforming stars have one last chance to redeem themselves and still push the side through to the group stages- as group winners no less. There are rumours of divisions inside the England camp and that was more than clear during the Algeria fixture.

Fabio Capello has already admitted that he will be making changes for this match, not the least of which is the swap from Jamie Carragher to Matthew Upson thanks to Carragher being banned from the next fixture. Many people believe that Joe Cole will earn himself a start here to add an extra spark of creativity and I'd like to see that, although I do think that Capello may opt to keep him on the bench.
I don't think Emile Heskey starts this match, he simply isn't playing well and the big/small combo just isn't panning out this time- even Fabio acknowledges that.
The big question for me is whether John Terry will play at all. Fabio Capello isn't known for tolerating any crap and unless Terry has apologized and made amends then I could certainly see Capello using this as an opportunity to make a very big point.
The big variable is Wayne Rooney and it really just boils down to the fact that if Rooney has another crap match then England will find it difficult to win. The English side is full of talented players, but they still always look to Rooney to provide that extra touch of class. The Manchester United striker looks out of form and hasn't scored in several International matches.
Personally, I think Joe Cole to score at any point in this match is well-priced at a 3.75 listing. He is 10.0 to score the first goal and that's worth a bet if he is in the starting lineup. England are priced at 1.4 to score the first goal and I think that's a decent bet. England to score first and last is listed at 1.8. I'm backing one first half goal at 2.37.
