SPAIN VS NETHERLANDS WORLD CUP 2010 FINAL PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS
We're finally down to the final two of the 2010 World Cup tournament and you have to look back on this past month and acknowledge that the footballing world may very well have been turned upside down. So many of the world's biggest stars simply didn't show up to play at the South African tournament with the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Didier Drogba having extremely underwhelming tournaments.
Their massive shadows were ably filled, however, by the likes of old hands like Diego Forlan and Miroslav Klose, while a cadre of dedicated young stars stamped their name on footballing history with players like Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil and Wesley Sneijder.
Spain are the justifiable favourites to win the 2010 World Cup in their first attempt at doing so. This will be a fascinating clash that pits two very contrasting teams against each other.
Popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has priced Spain at 2.1 to win the match and I think that's a better price than you'll find at a lot of other bookmakers- some of which have placed Spain at an odds-on price to win the match. The Netherlands are available at a 3.5 price and I think that's great value on Arjen Robben and the boys.
The draw is priced at 3.3 and that's a hot bet for the neutrals as extra-time between these two would really be some champagne stuff.
The favoured correct score line for Holland vs Spain is 6.5 for a 1-1 draw or a 1-0 victory to the Spanish. A 1-0 victory to Holland is priced at 7.0 while a 2-1 victory is 13.0 for the Dutch and 9.0 for the Germans. A 3-2 result to Spain is 26.0 while a 3-2 result to Germany is priced at 34.0.
We'll be offering up daily coverage on this massive clash as the days go by. It's been a great tournament and we can only hope that the last two matches are up to previous standards.
