SPAIN VS SWITZERLAND PREVIEW AND WORLD CUP BETTING ODDS

It's not entirely surprising that Spain go into their match against Switzerland as the 2/7 favourites, considering that they remain the preferred team to win the competition according to virtually bookmakers. I think that with them having played their opener, we'll figure out who really look like the teams to beat so far.

You can back Spain on a (-1.0) handicap here and lock in a 5/6 price and that's a bit more reasonable. A lot of the expected blow-outs this year have failed to materialize (Germany vs Australia was expected to be a fairly competitive match) so I don't advise getting carried away with Spain putting five or six past Switzerland.
Spain will likely win this one, but backing 4-0 or 5-0 victories is probably a better option for the in-play punters, in my opinion at least.
The over/under on goals in this match is at 2.5 with both selections going at 5/6. Over 3.5 goals pays out at 23/10 while under 1.5 is available at 12/5.
A 2-0 result to Spain is the favoured outcome with a 5/1 price while a 1-0 result pays out at 11/2. Spain to win the match 2-1 pays out at 15/2 while Spain 3-1 trades at 11/1. If you think Spain will blow them out, a 5-0 reuslt pays a lengthy 40/1.
A 1-1 draw pays out at 9/1 while a 0-0 draw pays out at a 12/1 price tag.
Switzerland to win the match 1-0 pays out at 22/1 while a 2-0 result to Switzerland is listed at 2-0 and a 2-1 result pays a massive 40/1 price.
You can back Spain to win both legs of the half-time/full-time market at a 4/5 price while Draw/Spain trades at 16/5.
Spain are available at even money to score in both halves and they are 13/8 to win both halves. They are 7/10 to keep a clean sheet and 10/11 to win to nil.
I think there's no reason why Spain shouldn't take this match, but they have certainly shown a propensity to screw up on the big stage in past years. I just don't see where Switzerland get the goals from though.
