Specials betting: Next pop group to split

They may have just reformed but Posh, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Sporty Spice are the favourties with Paddy Power to be the first pop group to announce their split in 2008. At the turn of the millennium the Spices' had been without their Ginger member for two years and at the time of their split they all pursued solo careers with differing success. Who can forget Victoria Beckham's laughable attempts to break into a more adult market with her single 'You're Out of Your Mind' alongside Dane Bowers - she clearly was out of hers at the time. And while Baby Spice and Sporty have had some success, Scary Spice Mel B recently got her career back on track by winning the US dancing show, Dancing With Stars after some negatie publicity after her attempts to prove Eddie Murphy was her new baby's father failed to please anyone - rather like one of Murphy's recent films. As for Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell she had become more famous for her see-sawing weight, friendship with George Michael and inability to get married. Oh and she also got herself a baby after a one-night stand with a multi-millionaire American - not bad for one night's work... However they were flavour of the month again when they announced their comeback and after a string of successful dates at the O2 Arena in London they are close to sealing a deal to take the reunion tour to Australia for a reported £7m. The recent success and big-bucks deals do not hold much sway with bookmaker Paddy Power however who have the girls at 4/5 to split this year. Another all-girl group with questionable talent that feature in the betting are Girls Aloud. The manufactured beauties (all except the ginger one) are 11/4 to announce their split and with Cheryl spending her husband's money, Sarah spending her time modelling underwear and one of the other ones spending more time in America with her on-off actor boyfriend the split could well be forthcoming - fingers crossed. Elsewhere Westlife are 8/1 while fellow boy-banders Take That are 12/1. The Sugababes are 12/1 which seems an unlikely punt consdiering when one member leaves they just replace her, while self-styled saviours of rock Oasis are 25/1 and global poverty do-gooders U2 are 33/1. Next group to split: Spice Girls 4/5; Girls Aloud 11/4; McFly 7/1; Westlife 8/1; Take That 12/1; Sugababes 12/1; Arctic Monkeys 16/1; Oasis 25/1; U2 33/1 Click here for a Paddy Power Poker $600 welcome bonus when you join Paddy Power Poker
