STAN JAMES 2009 BAHRAIN F1 GRAND PRIX BETTING TIPS
Jenson Button has retained his status as the outright favourite for the Bahrain Grand Prix which takes place over this coming weekend. After Sebastian Vettel's solid performance at the Chinese Grand Prix, his odds have shortened as well heading into the qualifying events over the next day or two. It's interesting that after only three races this year, the usual suspects on the top of the bookmakers list have changed dramatically. Kimi Raikkonen always used to be a contender, but is listed at 25/1 to take the unlikely victory in Bahrain. Lewis Hamilton seems to be gaining the confidence of the bookmakers and can be backed at a solid 14/1. It remains, however, the tandem of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello from Brawn GP that constitute the most likely victors. Button is available at 6/4 while Barrichello sits at 5/1 right alongside Sebastian Vettel. Stan James is offering up each-way betting on this outright market where you can back the top 3 finishers at 1/5 of the odds. Additionally, Stan James is also offering up odds on a podium finish for the 2009 Bahrain Grand Prix. You'll see that Button is the odds-on favourite at 2/5 to finish top 3, Barrichello sits at 5/4 and Vettel is listed at evens. Lewis Hamilton is 3/1 to hit the podium. Personally, I'm not 100% that Jenson Button is quite as strong as the odds suggest. I'm all over the Lewis Hamilton podium finish at 3/1, but I don't think he's going to win. Vettel striking twice in a row is a bit of a tall order so I'm looking in Barrichello's direction here. I also think Timo Glock is due for a victory as well.
