STOKE CITY VS FULHAM PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
There are fantastic odds on all around on what should be a fascinating encounter today at the Britannia Stadium. To quote an overused footballing maxim, both sides are punching above their weight and looking to get 3 more big points on the board. I think both sides will be looking for a win here as, for the mid-table competitors, this is a six-pointer.
Blue Square has listed Stoke at 8/5 while Fulham trade at around 13/8. If you’re good with fractions, you’ll be able to see that Fulham are the slightest of favourites here, but Stoke are known to perform well at home and will be looking to keep that solid record alive.
I don’t fancy a high-scoring affair, as a 2 or 3 goal game is the odds-on favourite selection in the total goals market. Stoke City (-1.0) is listed at a whopping 4/1- clearly the bookmakers believe that should the Potters pull off a victory, it will be a slim one and anything but a blowout. Fulham have shown they can hit he back of the net when they’re on song and their tandem of Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson are both considered strong favourites to score. They both share an anytime price of 7/4.
American Clint Dempsey trades at 2/1 to score anytime while Damien Duff can be backed at 10/3.
Stoke will be looking to James Beattie to get the job done and if Stoke do get on the scoresheet I fancy Beattie at his 11/8 price. He is also 6/1 to score first or last and that’s a quality price in my opinion. Ryan Shawcross, valued by Stoke at £20,000,000 is paying out at 11/2 to score anytime today.
In terms of the correct score betting, both sides are listed at identical prices with a 1-0 margin paying 7/1 and a 2-1 (the likeliest scoreline in my opinion) listed at a slim 10/1. A 1-1 draw garners the slimmest price- 11/2.
I think this fixture is a great opportunity to hit a juicy scorecast prediction. Both teams get a fair amount of their goals from their forwards and I fancy a 2-1 scoreline. Bobby Zamora/Fulham 2-1 pays out at 45/1, Jamies Beattie/Stoke 2-1 is listed at the same price. If your goalscorer gets the first goalscorer but the team loses, for instance Zamora/Stoke 2-1 you’ll virtually double your price- it’s trading at a whopping 95/1!
