STRICTLY COME DANCING 2009 BETTING ODDS
Stanjames.com has released the latest odds on the 2009 edition of Strictly Come Dancing and they place Ricky Whittle and Ali Bastian as the outright favourites to win the show this time around. Ricky Whittle's odds are 3.5 while Ali Bastian's odds sit at 3.75. There clearly isn't much between the two, but you can expect those odds to fluctuate over the next two weeks.Jade Johnson and Laila Rouass are both sitting at 11.0 with Chris Hollins just behind at 12.0. Craig Kelly sits at 15.0 while Phil Tufnell can be backed at 15.0. Zoe Lucker is listed at 17.0 and then we have Ricky Groves who carries a 19.0 price. Natalie Cassidy and Rav Walding share a 21.0 listing while Richard Dunwoody is at 26.0. Welsh boxing great Joe Calzaghe is a lengthy 29.0 with only Jo Wood and Lynda Bellingham behind him at 34.0 and 51.0, respectively. If you have lots of confidence in Ali Bastian and Ricky Whittle, my suggestion is to back them both to finish as the top performer in their gender, effectively backing them to make the final. Whittle's price is 1.91 to be named top male performer and Bastian is 2.1 to be named top female. Her competition looks to be coming primarily from Jade Johnson, but Laila Rouass could be competitive as well. The gender of winner is an absolute toss-up with male and female both listed at 1.83. It is early days for the 2009 edition of Strictly Come Dancing and it is always interesting to see who the fan-favourite underdog becomes about a third of the way through the season. Reality TV betting is always dramatic, but you can get in now and back the favourites at some solid prices. Should you make your bets now, it would open up some hedging opportunities if things go pear-shaped towards the end.
