SUPER BOWL WINNER BETTING ODDS FROM WILLIAM HILL

With the NFL season kicking off stateside this evening, plenty of fans are turning their attention to the season-long betting markets for the 2011 Super Bowl Winner. Unsurprisingly, last year’s finalists are considered to be the outright favourites to win Superbowl 45 and it looks like Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts are getting the edge right now.
Indianapolis’ odds to win the next Super Bowl are priced at 8/1 with top UK bookmaker William Hill. Drew Brees’ New Orleans Saints are trading at 9/1 to pull off what would be dramatic back-to-back Super Bowls.
My tip to win Superbowl 45 is the San Diego Chargers led by their marquee quarterback Philip Rivers. You can back the Chargers at the same price as the Saints and I reckon that’s a really good bet this time out. They got absolutely done-in by their kicker in the playoffs last year and I reckon the running game might find an extra gear now that LaDainian Tomlinson has finally left.
The Dallas Cowboys and their talisman Tony Romo are trading alongside the Green Bay Packers at odds of 10/1 to win the next Super Bowl. I think that many consider the Packers to be a very solid bet as they look full of surprises and boast some sharp talent.
The Baltimore Ravens are being tipped by some folks to outperform expectations and they’re trading alongside Rex Ryan’s New York Jets at 12/1. The Minnesota Vikings are priced at 14/1 to win the Super Bowl and then the odds take a considerable leap to 20/1 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The New York Giants trade at 22/1 with Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Atlanta and San Francisco all trading at 25/1. Chad Ochocinco’s Cincinnati Bengals are at 28/1 to win the Super Bowl and that’s the same price as the Houston Texans.
You can also lock in a bet on the winning conference of the 2011 Super Bowl and the AFC is getting the edge at 5/6 while an NFC winner is priced at evens. All told, the favourite division for Super Bowl winner is the AFC South, who trade at 9/2. The NFC East or the AFC East to produce the Super Bowl winner is trading at 5/1 with the AFC North and NFC South both available at 11/2. The NFC North is at 13/2 with the AFC West at 7/1. You can back an NFC West Super Bowl champ at a lengthy 16/1.
