TIGER WOODS CONSIDERED HEAVY FAVOURITE TO WIN 2010 OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP AT ST ANDREWS

Tiger Woods is bringing controversy literally everywhere he goes and the British Media are expected to be the big winners once the 2010 Open Championship is all set and done. It's a real bonus to the British media that Woods has been paired with the respected English golfer Justin Rose for the first two rounds of the competition.

Tiger Woods odds to win the 2010 Open Championship haven't really been affected by the media spotlight. Across the board, woods is the big favourite and a swashbuckling victory on one of the greatest stages in golf would certainly shift the momentum back in his favour. You'll find Woods priced at 11/2 with top Irish bookmaker Paddy Power to win the tournament. Woods is listed at 5/4 to finish in the top 5 and he's odds-on at 8/13 to finish in the top 10.
Paddy Power is paying out on a whopping 7 places for this tournament. So if you back an each-way winner then you're looking at 1/4 odds on the top 7 places. There are some whopping prices out there on some of the smaller names so you can really get some solid payouts if you make the right call.
Lee Westwood is the second favourite to win the tournament and he's priced at 16/1 with Rory McIlroy expected to make a big statement here at 17/1. Phil Mickelson is priced alongside Ernie Els at 18/1 and it wouldn't be a big surprise to see either of them in the reckoning on the final day. Padraig Harrington also trades at 18/1 and he's usually worth a bet.
Woods' partner Justin Rose is the only golfer priced at 25/1 while Graeme Mcdowell is at 28/1 and Ian Poulter trades at 33/1. Luke Donald is at 40/1 alongside Paul Casey, Steve Stricker, Jim Furyk and Martin Kaymer. Retief Goosen is just behind at 45/1.
