TIGER WOODS OUTRIGHT FAVOURITE TO WIN ARNOLD PALMER INVITATIONAL
Tiger Woods name stands at ominously short odds to record a victory in this weekend's Arnold Palmer Invitational. Currently listed at popular Irish bookmaker Paddy Power with odds of 12/5, Woods is ahead of the competition by a more than considerable margin. His nearest competitor is Kenny Perry who carries odds of 12/1. Sean O'Hair has crept into the equation in the last 48 hours and has been lowered significantly to 16/1. Retief Goosen, who has been in stellar form of late, was previously listed as the second most likely winner, but he is now sitting in fourth spot at 22/1 ahead of 25/1 Stewart Cink. Jim Furyk is also available at a similar price while Padraig Harrington is at 28/1. Vijay Singh is available at a stellar 45/1 and if you think this is the tournament where he turns it all around, you're in for a hot payday. Paddy Power is offering up each-way bets for this tournament with payouts available on places 1-4 at ¼ of the odds. This makes Vijay Singh and Mike Weir (also at 45/1) very solid bets. These are two players who know how to win a first-rate tournament and Woods didn't exactly perform so well in his last outing. I still fancy Tiger to take the victory here, and go into the Masters with plenty of momentum, but the real opportunities here are in the each-way market with Woods at such short odds. I would take a gander at Goosen, Vijay and Mike Weir who are all going to be paying out in a very profitable manner.
