TONY MOWBRAY NOW THE ODDS ON FAVOURITE FOR NEXT CELTIC MANAGER
We've had some real movement in the Betfair market for next Celtic Manager over the past 24 hours with Roberto Martinez skyrocketing from 3.15 to 8.0 as Tony Mowbray took a significant drop down to 1.87- becoming an odds-on favourite. Owen Coyle is still competitive and carries a 4.8 price at the time of this writing. Earlier yesterday, former Portsmouth boss Tony Adams declared that he was "considering" the Celtic job and there were even mentions that his signing was imminent. Doesn't look like that's happening any time soon (Celtic fans must be pleased) and Betfair more or less confirms this with Adams dropping from 20.0 to 40.0 over night. Mark McGhee is still in the running and his price is currently trading on Betfair at 14.0 with Craig Levein listed at 17.0. Slaven Bilic carries a price of 36.0 with David O'Leary at 55 and Roy Keane at an even 50. Somehow, Steve Bruce is in contention- despite being named as the next manager of Sunderland, but if you believe in miracles you can back him for a rather generous price of 300. That price is sure to chagrin former Fulham boss Jean Tigana who carries a 500.0 price. Interestingly enough, Marco van Basten has entered the running and can be backed at 70.0. Paul Ince is at 600.0 and you have to admit that it would be a tad interesting when Rangers came to town?
