TOTE GOLD CUP OF GREYHOUNDS
Greyhound racing fans will be on the edge of their seats as the Tote Gold Cup race draws nearer. The race is taking place in Shelbourne on March 21st and we've got an extremely competitive field for this one. I can truly see this being one of the most talked-about races of the season and there looks to be a truly considerable payday awaiting the owner of the winning hound.
In the position of outright favourite, we've got the #5 runner Swords Prince. He's listed at 6/4 and rightly so as he's been in excellent form as of late. The ground conditions should suit him and he is usually quite lively from the off. I expect that if he wins this race, he will likely be in the lead the entire time. Just behind him, in terms of odds, is the 11/4 Tyrur Bertie who looks to be in with a shout but for the value, I'm favouring 9/2 Kryptonite. Also a considerable opponent, he will likely be making up the tail end of a few combination bets.
Behind these three front-runners is the 6/1 pair of Side Bet and Daleys Buzz. I can't see much happening for these dogs without a considerable mistake from either Swords Prince or Kryptonite, so if you're backing an upset then you're likely looking in this direction.
Bringing up the rear is the 12/1 Cashen Zig who could pull off a really epic surprise here, but there is just too much quality in this race fancy him.
RECOMMENDATION:
Kryptonite to Win @ 9/2
