TOTESPORT CHALLENGE CUP ASCOT FESTIVAL BETTING TIPS
There's a massive field contesting the 2009 Totesport Challenge Cup tomorrow morning at Ascot and, while this one is a tough call, the folks at Blue Square have some very solid odds available that should make the action even more interesting. As it currently stands, Sir Michael Stoute's Marching Time is the 6/1 favourite. He comes into this with two wins on the bounce, one at Salford in mid-August and one at Goodwood at the end of the month. He's quality in handicap company and he will have Ryan Moore aboard for the trip once again. While he's definitely not one of Juddmonte Farms biggest products, he is well-suited for the race and is a reasonable favourite. Good odds on a horse like this as well. I'm a fan of Axiom and with a 2-6-1-4 record on the year, shows a solid amount of form for this race. He has put in some good performances against larger fields and he could be an integral part of your tricast bets. His 14/1 price makes him a tempting each-way option. The Irish runner Golden Desert comes in off a 2-2-1-1 record over her past four this year and she's won some solid stakes events at Goodwood. She managed to finish second in the Longines Handicap at Ascot to Castle in the Air and that gives me some confidence here. The 10/1 price is about right. This one is wide open with such a big field, but those are my three stand-out selections. I think Castle in the Air is worth keeping an eye on at 14/1 and Seek N' Destroy at 12/1 could be your outside tips.
