TRABZONSPOR VS LIVERPOOL EUROPA LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
Liverpool face a tough Turkish test today as they face off against Trabzonspor in the Europa League. Despite this not being one of the easiest ties they could have received, the bookmakers have still made Roy Hodgson's men the outright favourites to take this one.
Top UK bookmaker William Hill has listed Liverpool at a 6/4 price while Trabzonspor can be backed at a 15/8 listing. The draw pays out at 11/5 and I actually think that Liverpool would be more than satisfied with a draw- especially if they notched a few away goals.
In regards to outright qualification, the Reds are hot favourites with a 2/9 price ahead of their rivals, who are listed at around 3/1 at the moment.
I think a 2-2 draw is about right here and you can back that at a hefty 18/1 price while a 2-1 result to Liverpool (which would put them firmly in the drivers seat) is available at 10/1. 2-1 to Trabzonspor trades at an identical price. A 1-1 draw is considered to be the most favoured option and you can back that at 11/2.
Fernando Torres is the only player listed at an odds-on price to score and you can back him at 4/5 to score anytime or 10/3 to score first or last. Torres' odds are priced at 7/2 to score anytime while he's 20/1 for a hat-trick. David Ngog is trading at 6/4 and he's been a real go-to-guy for Liverpool this season- I was never a huge fan of his but you simply can't argue with his ability to sneak a goal against the run of play. He's an assured finisher and I think he's a good bet to score today.
Steven Gerrard is listed at 7/4 to score anytime while Joe Cole is 2/1 anytime. Dirk Kuyt has a habit of scoring in matches like this and you'll find him at 9/4.
I think that this is a winnable fixture for Liverpool and there are simply so many Liverpool fans starting to question the team's management (already) that I get the feeling that the side will want to put together a dynamic performance today. I think 2-2 would be about right.
