Tuesday Champions League Preview
<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Chelsea continue their quest for European glory tonight when they take on Munich in Germany. The Premiership leaders won the first leg in convincing fashion, although a last minute Bayern penalty did take some of the gloss off the 4-2 victory. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> While the manner in which Michael Ballack convinced the referee into giving a penalty will have left a sour taste, Chelsea should have sufficient class to not only make it through to the last four but also beat the Munich in the second leg. The London club are no strangers to being victorious on the road, winning on thirteen occasions in the Premiership. With Bayern having to adopt a positive approach, this should play right into Chelsea's hands who are a superb counter attacking outfit. Bayern are strong at home but clearly couldn't cope with the Chelsea tactics in the first leg with Didier Drogba causing the Bundesliga team many problems. It is unlikely sufficient improvement will have been made in the space of a few days. The advice is to take Chelsea at a best price 12/5 to win the second leg. In the evening's other encounter, it is the turn of AC Milan to be the away team in their quarterfinal against rivals Inter. Although there is a possibility of Adriano returning for Inter, it is most likely to be as a substitute. While Inter may only have lost twice this season, both defeats came against AC, who clearly hold the upper hand over their neighbours. No team in Serie A has drawn more than Inter this season, and that looks to be the most likely outcome on Tuesday. With a two goal advantage to their credit, expect AC Milan to take few risks in their bid to reach the semi-finals. A goalless draw would come as no surprise and so delve into the 6/1 on offer with a few of the bookmakers. Bet on the match with VCBet
