One fixture that definitely seems to be still on the table is the Atletico Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen match-up that kicks off this evening. Atletico were widely tipped as a bit of a wise guy selection to win the Champions League this year and they will need to overturn a 1-0 deficit against the German side - who were considerable underdogs in their first leg match-up. There was lots to like about that performance and they will come in here with confidence despite the Vicente Calderon Stadium being a tough place to visit.
Regardless, Atletico are favoured to get the result here with the bookmakers pricing them at a slim 4/5 price tag to get the outright victory over 90 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen can be backed at a 15/4 price while the draw is trading at a competitive 13/5 price.
Interestingly enough, the bookmakers consider Bayer Leverkusen to be the favourites to progress to the next stage of the competition despite being the underdogs here and only being 1-0 up. They are trading at an 8/15 price tag to progress to the next round while punters will find the Spanish hosts priced out at around 11/8 right now to ensure qualification.
Mario Mandzukic gets the edge for Atletico in the goalscorer markets with a 4/1 price tag to score first or last and a 5/4 price to grab an any time goal. Fernando Torres is just a notch behind him and is listed at 9/2 to score first or last and 8/5 to score any time.
