The other fixture on today’s Champions League card is expected to be a bit more lopsided but it is still 90 minutes away from being over. Arsenal take on Monaco after they were embarrassed in the first leg and wound up being 3-1 down to the Monegasques after a really solid display from the principality-based side.

Arsenal are favoured to get the result here in the second leg but Monaco are heavily favoured to get through to the next round on the back of the several away goals that they were able to muster up.

Arsenal can be backed at a 5/4 margin right now in the 90 minutes market while Monaco are trading at a solid 11/5. Look for the draw at a 13/5 price that could wind up being decent value. In regards to the outright qualification, however, Arsenal are well off the pace with a 1/8 price tag on Monaco to go through and Arsenal trading at a hefty 5/1 margin.

If Arsenal were to pull it off it would be a much-needed feather in the cap of Arsene Wenger and would give them some momentum in the Premier League - despite meaning they will have more games to play. The truth is, Arsenal were never going to win the Champions League anyway and they probably won’t mind not having the extra fixtures to handle on top of their Premier League and FA Cup campaigns.

Should Arsenal make anything happen here, it appears as though the bookmakers think Olivier Giroud would be the key and he’s 11/2 to open or close the scoring and priced at 19/10 to get an any time goal. Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez are both trading at 7/1 to score first while Sanchez is 2/1 to score any time and Welbeck is priced at 12/5.
