UFC 114 BETTING TIPS FOR RAMPAGE JACKSON VS RASHAD EVANS

There really isn't too much between the two headline fighters for UFC 114 in Las Vegas. Virtually all bookmakers, and even the betting exchanges, have priced Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans at nearly even prices to win tonights big fight.

Popular Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has priced both selections at 5/6 to win the fight ouright while you'll see that Jackson is slightly favoured to win by KO or TKO. He's trading at a 7/4 price while Paddy prices Rashad at 9/4- clearly they expect this one to be a slugfest and it looks like they think it may be over quickly.
A points win for Evans is favoured at 11/4 while a decision victory for Jackson trades at 10/3. I think its reasonable to say that if this fight goes the distance then it's likely Rashad's night. The fight is favoured to finish before a decision and you'll find that option priced at 4/6. Should the fight go to the judges, you're getting paid out at 11/10.
The odds on Jackson to win in the 1st round are at 4/1 while a 2nd round victory trades at 9/2. He's 17/2 to win in the third round. Evans is at 9/2, 13/2 and 10/1 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds; respectively.
In the other fights for the evening, Michael Bisping is an 8/15 favourite over Dan Miller who trades at 11/8. That one looks to favour Bisping on points at a 7/4 price. A KO or TKO for Bisping pays out at 9/4. The bookies favour an early round victory over a later one.
Diego Sanchez is priced at 4/9 to beat out John Hathaway- you'll find him at 13/8. A first round KO or TKO for Sanchez is short-priced at 9.4. This one is likely to finish quickly.
The biggest favourite of the night is Antonio Rogerio Nogueira who is a very slim 1/10 against Jason Britz- a 5/1 longshot. Nogueira by KO pays out at 4/6 while a points win sits at 5/1. I think the submission is probably the value play here and that's a juicy 9/4.
Todd Duffee is at 1/4 to beat out 5/2 Mike Russo. Duffee's striking ability looks to be the key variable here and I like the 3/1 price on a 2nd round KO or TKO victory for Duffee.
