UFC 116 LESNAR VS CARWIN FULL CARD PREVIEW AND ODDS PART ONE

After we saw some solid action and a genuinely crazy main event at UFC 115 in Vancouver, attention now turns to UFC 116 where we will see the dramatic return of Brock Lesnar to the UFC fold. This is going to be a massive match-up and the undercard is, as always, first rate.

Popular Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has released a very interesting selection of odds for tonights card and there are a few more options than usual today. Uncontent to simply offer the usual assortment of match betting, method of victory and round bettin- Paddy Power is also offering up Fight of the Night, KO of the Night and an assortment of special bets on this evenings entertainment from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
We'll be examing the special bets and the main event in our second part, but we'll be examining the opening bouts at the moment.
On the preliminary card, we have Karlos Vemola listed as the 8/13 favourite to beat out Jon Madsen- who trades at 6/5 for the win. Daniel Roberts gets the nod over Forrest Petz with a 4/7 price ahead of Petz at a 5/4 listing.
Gerald Harris is a significant favourite over Dave Branch in their match up and you can back Harris at 4/11 or Branch at a long-shot price of 15/8. That one should be interesting.
Croatian Goran Reljic is priced at 8/13 to trump Kendall Grove, who can be backed at a 6/5 price. If you back the four preliminary favourites on an accumulator you're looking at odds of 5.59 for all four to win outright.
The Spike TV matches look like solid fights as well and if you're looking to have a bet on these, you're looking at Ricardo Romero at a 4/7 price over Sth Petruzelli. You can back Petruzelli at 5/4, but he looks to have a bit of a mountain to climb here. Brendan Schaub is also a heavy favourite over Chris Tuchscherer and you can back Schaub at a slim 4/11 price. His opponent is available at a lengthy 15/8 outright price.
Once we get into the main card, we've got Australia's George Soritopoulos at a 1/2 price facing off against 6/4 Kurt Pellegrino. Chris Lytle trades at the same 1/2 margin to beat out Matt Brown at 6/4.
Canada's Krzysztof Soszynski is a heavy 2/5 favourite to beat out Stephan Bonnar at a 7/4 price. Yoshihiro Akiyama is availablae at a 1/2 price while Chris Leben is available at 6/4.
In the main event of the night, you'll find Brock Lesnar listed as the odds-on 4/6 favourite to beat out Shane Carwin- who can be backed at 11/10.
