UNIREA URZICENI VS LIVERPOOL EUROPA LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
William Hill have a massive 177+ markets for this big fixture and it may not exactly be a stroll in the park for Steven Gerrard & Co. as they take on Unirea Urziceni in the away leg of their Europa League draw. The Reds bring a slim 1-0 aggregate lead to this fixture and I have a feeling that they will be hunting for the away goal early on, in lieu of sitting back and trying not to concede. Letting the hosts notch an early goal completely opens up the tie and would likely send Liverpool reeling.
Rafa Benitez’s men trade at 4/6 for the outright victory over 90 minutes while Unirea are listed at a 9/2 price against a draw available at 5/2. In terms of outright qualification, Liverpool are a slim 1/8 while the host side are again at 9/2.
A 1-1 draw would do for Liverpool and you’ll find that priced at 5/1, the same price as a 2-0 victory. The shortest priced selection is 1-0 to Liverpool at a 4/1 price tag. I have a feeling that if Liverpool score an early goal, you may see the floodgates open and they could hit 2 or 3 more. Personally, I don’t think this one is going to be a stroll in the park and it is difficult facing teams that you don’t know much about. Liverpool may leave this late.
If you think that Liverpool might slip up in the first half and then come back to win the match, try Unirea/Liverpool in the half-time/full-time market at 28/1. Draw/Liverpool pays out at 16/5 while Liverpool to win both halves rewards at a 17/10 price.
In terms of the goalscorer markets, the host side are expected to turn to Marius Onofras who trades at 11/4 to score anytime and 8/1 to score first or last. Marius Bilasco is 7/2 anytime while Semedo can be backed at 4/1.
Fernando Torres is expected to be starting on the bench for this one and I don’t advise backing him to score first, but if you think he’ll come off to score a goal (he would definitely be deployed if Liverpool were to concede) you’re looking at a slim 7/2 price. Dirk Kuyt is also short-priced at 10/11 anytime and 7/2 first or last. David Ngog has been finding the goals more regularly and he trades alongside Steven Gerrard at 6/5 anytime and 9/2 first or last. Ryan Babel may work his way into the equation and he is 5/4 anytime and 5/1 first or last.
I think Liverpool should run away with this one, but their form has just been so patchy this season it makes me think twice about backing them.
