Uruguay vs. Germany: Miroslav Klose not to Play
- By A.J. Ryder on July 11, 2010 01:38 GMTWe're just under an hour away from kick-off in the 3rd place match for the 2010 World Cup, and we're expecting a quick reshuffling of the betting markets as they adjust to the teamsheets being released.
Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez are both starting for Uruguay, a bit of a surprise as Forlan was originally expected to miss this fixture after revelations that he played through injury in the last match became public.
Miroslav Klose will be disappointed to miss this one, and I think the injury must be a bit serious. It looks like Ronaldo's record will continue to live on for another few years. Could you see Klose in Brazil in 2014?
Here are the team sheets for the Uruguay vs Germany fixture:
Uruguay: 1-Fernando Muslera; 2-Diego Lugano, 3-Diego Godin, 4-Jorge Fucile, 16-Maximiliano Pereira, 15-Diego Perez, 17-Egidio Arevalo, 7-Edinson Cavani, 22-Martin Caceres, 9-Luis Suarez, 10-Diego Forlan.
Germany: 22-Hans-Joerg Butt; 2-Marcell Jansen, 3-Arne Friedrich, 17-Per Mertesacker, 20-Jerome Boateng, 13-Thomas Mueller, 4-Dennis Aogo, 6-Sami Khedira, 7-Bastian Schweinsteiger, 19-Cacau, 8-Mesut Ozil.
We've already seen Uruguay's price start to drop with news that they have both of their world-class strikers available. If they both get a full game, they're likely to score, but be sure not to overlook the Germans: Thomas Muller in particular.
