URUGUAY VS HOLLAND PREDICTIONS AND SEMI-FINAL EARLY BETTING ODDS PREVIEW

Holland are going into this match as massive favourites and that probably won't surprise anybody as any side that can beat Brazil is generally a team that can go on to win a World Cup. Uruguay needed a little luck to get past Ghana and both of these sides qualified out of very exciting quarter-final matches. 

Uruguay will be revelling in their underdog status here and they will be confident in their chances. I think that if Forlan can really get out and boss the game then they have every chance, but this match will be won and lost by defensive solidity. 
I expect it to be a match of key moments and I think the team with the bulk of possession may not be the team that wins this one. Holland will be confident that they can handle this one and if their midfield is given room to operate then they are one of the toughest sides in the world to deal with. 
The early betting odds are available for this match at Ladbrokes and you'll find the Netherlands odds trading at 1.66 to win while Uruguay can be backed at a lengthy 5.5 price. The draw is trading at 3.5 but I don't really see this one going to extra-time unless the Dutch have a poor match all around. 
In regards to outright qualification, you can back Holland at 1.28 to progress to the final while Uruguay is sitting at 3.5. 
If you think this one goes into added time, you can back Holland at 9.0 to win. Holland to win the match on penalties is priced at 12.0 while Uruguay are 12.0 on pens and 21.0 in extra-time. 
Robin Van Persie's odds to score against Uruguay are priced at even money while Arjen Robben is trading at 2.75 alongside Wesley Sneijder. Diego Forlan can be backed at 3.0 and the absence of Luis Suarez will be telling.
