US OPEN LIVE BETTING NADAL VS. YOUZHNY IN THE SEMIS

Rafael Nadal is chasing his first-ever US Open title, and this year, more so than any other in recent memory, he seems poised to accomplish the feat. The world’s No.1 player is through to his third straight US Open semi-final. He’s never been into the tournament’s premier movement but today he’s aiming to make that breakthrough. Standing in his way is Mikhail Youzhny of Russia.
If the markets were any indication, Nadal is an almost sure thing to go through to the final. Youzhny has absolutely no chance for the upset.
In terms of this matchup, Nadal is the hotshot at 1/14 to advance while Youzhny is tipped at a large 13/2.
Youzhny hopes to complete the tournament’s biggest upset today, and believe you and me, should he do so it would send seismic shockwaves through markets worldwide.
Youzhny trails 4-7 lifetime against Nadal but he has an encouraging 4-3 hard court record against the Spaniard. He’s beaten him twice convincingly  – four years ago, ironically, at the US Open and two years ago in the Chennai final.
A quick glance at the set betting markets reveals Nadal is the solid favourite to take the match in straight sets, tipped at 4/9 with William Hill. That Nadal has advanced through to the tournament without dropping a set and dropping serve only once recommends this bet. The US Open has never been a cakewalk for the Spaniard but the form he’s shown this year is nothing short of unbelievable. Unexpected some even might say.
Youzhny has battled hard to reach the semis and you’d think he’d want something to show for his effort. Say a spot in the final. To expect Youzhny to go away without a fight would be a gross underestimation of the versatile Russian’s skills. In theory, he has a chance –albeit slim.
The odds are stacked against him naturally, particularly in the set betting markets. He’s listed at a whopping 33/1 to win in straight sets and at 20/1 and 14/1 to win 3-1 and 3-2, respectively.
The overriding expectation is that Nadal will cruise through this affair and markets are overwhelmingly confident where he’s concerned. Apparently, he has a date with Federer in the final to honour.
