USA VS GHANA STARTING LINEUPS AND LAST MINUTE BETTING TIPS

The big question now is which team goes on to face Uruguay as two upstart sides are set to do battle in Rustenburg. Ghana are the only remaining African side in the competition while the USA boast plenty of momentum, having snatched a late winner against Algeria that will be replayed for decades on highlight reels.

The USA starting lineup for the match have just been released and it should be an interesting affair.

United States: 1-Tim Howard; 6-Steve Cherundolo, 15-Jay DeMerit, 12-Jonathan Bornstein, 3-Carlos Bocanegra; 10-Landon Donovan, 4-Michael Bradley, 13-Ricardo Clark, 8-Clint Dempsey; 17-Jozy Altidore, 20-Robbie Findley.
Ghana: 22-Richard Kingson; 4-John Pantsil, 8-Jonathan Mensah, 5-John Mensah, 2-Hans Sarpei; 6-Anthony Annan, 7-Samuel Inkoom, 23-Kevin-Prince Boateng, 13-Dede Ayew; 21-Kwadwo Asamoah, 3-Asamoah Gyan.

Popular bookmaker Stanjames.com has placed the USA as the 2.5 favourites here with Ghana priced at 3.0. The draw is available at 3.25 and that's not a bad bet in my book. I do fancy a higher-scoring match and neither side boasts an outstanding defence.
In terms of outright qualification, you'll find the USA at 1.73 to go through by winning in 90 minutes, extra-time or penalties. Ghana are listed at 2.0.
There is no golden or silver goals here so the entirety of extra-time will be played before proceeding to penalties if the deadlock isn't broken.
The favoured correct score result is either a 1-1 draw is a 1-0 victory for the USA with both options at 6.0. A 0-0 draw is listed at 6.5 while a 1-0 result to Ghana trades at 7.0. A 2-1 victory for the Americans is listed at 10.0 while Ghana are available for the same price. A 3-2 win for the USA and Ghana is listed at 29.0. A 2-2 draw pays an enticing 17.0.
I think that the USA should be able to handle Ghana and they can likely claw their way back if they go a goal down. They will look to dictate play and if they can get men in behind the Ghana defence then they should be able to carve out chances. If there are no red cards or penalties I think the USA will take this one.
