We're just over an hour away from the start of today's first of two semi-final clashes with the young-guns from the United States taking on a cultured Finnish side. The United States made a very big statement when they bested host nation Canada in a 5-3 contest back in the round robin phase of the tournament. Canada vs Slovakia kicks off at 4:30 PST today. 
Currently, UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has the USA listed as the odds-on favourite to win the match in regular time with a 1.9 price against Finand's 3.1. The 60 minute draw pays out at 4.33 and the draw could be a decent bet if you're going to be wagering live on this one, I would not back a draw outright until the 2nd period. 

If you factor in the possibility of overtime and penalties, the United States trade at 1.57 and Finland carries a 2.25 price.

I think if the USA can keep the score down then they'll likely be the ones to beat here. I expect Finland's price to drop sharply if they score the first goal and I get the feeling that this is one that could favour the in-play bettor.
