VC Bet cut Real Madrid
VC Bet have cut Real Madrid from 12s to 9/1 for the 2004/5 Champions League after lumpy support this week. The firm's football traders were alerted when a high rolling punter staked £2,500 each-way on Los Madrilenos at 12/1 on Wednesday. Real, currently four points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, take on Juventus in Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League knockout phase. "Juventus are bang out of form with recent defeats to Sampdoria and Palermo whereas Real are finally starting to punch their weight," said VC Bet's Nick Blezard. "They've won their last six on the bounce and could yet haul themselves right back into things under new coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. "Under Luxemburgo they look a much more organised and tactically proficient side than they ever did under his recent predecessors." Chelsea are VC Bet's 5/1 tournament jollies with Barcelona and AC Milan rated 7/1 second favourites.
