WAYNE ROONEY FAVOURED TO SCORE IN MANCHESTER UNITED VS RANGERS

We’ve got Champions League action back on the cards after an entire summer of anxious anticipation. Inter Milan are certainly not the favourites to win it this year so you can expect some pretty stiff competition throughout the rest of the Champions League campaign.
Arguably the biggest fixture of the day is an all-British clash between Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers. This is an interesting re-match of a fixture from not too long ago that is more famous for its off-pitch antics than anything else. Rangers supporters fought pitched battles with United supporters and Manchester Police, leaving a swath of well-documented destruction in their Glaswegian wake.
United are the big favourites ahead of this fixture and that’s hardly surprising given that the match is being played at Old Trafford. United’s odds to beat Rangers are priced at a slim 1.2 while the Scottish side are a massive 13.0. The draw is sitting at 6.5, but you reckon that not many punters will be putting their stake there.
United showed vulnerability by conceding those two late goals to Everton and they will need to stay 100% focused here and avoid shipping late chances. Wayne Rooney’s absence from the line-up was well-documented and you can bank on Rooney looking to get things off to a big start here and prove Fergie wrong for leaving him off the teamsheet.
Wayne Rooney is trading at 1.57 to score anytime and he’s listed at 3.75 to score the first or last goal of the match. Wayne Rooney’s odds to get a hat-trick against Rangers are trading at a slim 11.0 price.
Dimitar Berbatov is also odds-on to score anytime with a 1.8 price while Javier Henandez is listed at 2.0. Michael Owen trades at 2.2 while Federico Macheda is available at 2.37. Ryan Giggs and Nani both trade at 3.0 with Antonio Valencia at 3.25. Paul Scholes can be backed at 4.0.
For Rangers, they’ll be looking to Kenny Miller at 4.5 while Sean Anderson is at 5.0. James Beattie trades at 5.5 with Kyle Lafferty at 7.0.
