Wednesday Champions League Betting Tips PT 1

Tuesday saw the second leg of two Champions League fixtures play out as Barcelona were able to record a simple 2-0 victory over PSG at Camp Nou while the much bigger story was happening in Germany as Bayern Munich produced one of the most hard-hitting periods we’ve seen in European football in quite some time to put five quick goals past Porto in the first half.

Facing the wrong end of a 3-1 aggregate scoreline heading into the second leg, Bayern were up against it and rose to the occasion. They were able to power through the opposition and dominate the fixture - a performance that will serve as a real statement to the rest of the teams still remaining in the tournament proper.

To round out the semi-final fixtures we’ve got a Madrid derby set to unfold while Monaco take on Juventus in a match that looks to be fairly sorted in terms of the two-legged tie with bookmakers floating the Turin club at a slim 1/8 price tag to advance by any method.

In regards to the 90 minutes betting today we’ve got Monaco priced at 11/4 while Juventus can be backed at a 6/4 margin despite being the visiting club here. The draw, which would suit Juventus just fine, can be backed at a fairly competitive price of 21/10 which shows the bookmakers think it’s more than a likely result.

Dimitar Berbatov is the shortest-priced contender to score for Monaco here and they will need a performance from the languid striker. He’s trading at an 11/4 price tag to grab an anytime goal while he’s listed at 15/2 to score first and 7/1 to score last. If he has a big performance and can grab two goals then this one could definitely be game on for the semi-finals.
