WESLEY SNEIJDER VS IVICA OLIC 2010 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL BETTING ODDS
We're in the middle of a massive run down on the player specials available today on the 2010 Champions League Final. Our previous article brought you the match-up between Samuel Eto'o and Arjen Robben and we're going to be examining the betting odds for Ivica Olic and Wesley Sneijder in this one.
Personally, I think that Wesley Sneijder is the out-and-out decisive factor in this game. If he's on song, then I don't see how Bayern will be able to cope with Inter. The Germans need time on the ball and they will likely be looking to pepper the Inter goal with plenty of longer shots. I think that if Sneijder is offering up creativity in midfield and leading the charge on the counter-attacks that this will put Bayern off their game plan and push them onto the back foot.
Let me tell you, if Sneijder has a good opening 15 minutes then this one is well and truly game-on for the Dutchman. If you're looking for a bet on Sneijder, you've got some great odds to deal with as he's priced at 4.33 to score at any point in the match and he's a massive 41.0 to hit a goal in both halves. He's 151.0 to score a hat-trick and 26.0 to score a header. He's at 11.0 to score from outside the box and 7.5 to score first for Inter. He is 3.0 to be booked and 34.0 to be sent off.
Wesley Sneijder's odds to be carded first and priced at 15.0. He is a co-favourite for man of the match alongside Arjen Robben at 5.5. Think about it- the gap between Sneijder scoring a single goal (4.33) and winning Man of the Match (5.5) is only like 1.17. Again, if he is in-form I think Bayern will have to pull out all the stops for this one.
If Ivica Olic has a good match in front of goal then it could really put Bayern Munich into the drivers seat here. He is listed at 3.25 to score anytime in the match and I think he's a very plausible goalscorer. He's 23.0 to score in both halves, and I actually think if anybody is going to score two that it's probably him. He is 67.0 to hit a hat-trick and 12.0 to score with a header. A goal from outside the box is at 10.0 and he's 5.0 to score first for his team. He is 10.0 to hit the woodwork and that's not a bad bet either.
He is 23.0 to win a penalty and 6.5 to be booked. He is 67.0 to be sent off at any point and 9.0 to be named man of the match.
I think that the only way Olic wins man of the match is by scoring two goals. I also think that if any Bayern player can score two then they will more than likely take the match. Olic has a tendency to pop up late and against the run of play, so I think that Inter's defensive unit will be wary of his presence from the opening whistle.
I think Sneijder is the key factor for Inter and I fancy him to have a great match. I think he's good value to score but is also a real contender for MoM. Olic could have a drab match if Inter stay organized, so I'll likely be backing the more pro-active Sneijder over his opponent this evening.
